My 2nd Birthday!!

So my birthday was on Thursday. I didn't understand what birthdays were until Momma told me that it was the day that God brought me into this world, it was the day that my momma gave birth to me. That makes sense, birthday = the day momma gave birth to me. Anyway, my birthday was on Thursday and Momma took the day off just for me. First, we slept in for an extra hour and then we got up and ate some cereal. We waited around the house until 10:00 am and then went to Fred Meyer. Momma said that the Great-Gramcracker and Great-Grandpa Harlen gave me money for my birthday and that I could pick out what I wanted. Momma said that I could only spend 3/4ths of it and the rest went into savings. I got a Leapfrog Tag reader Junior and a book to go with it. (It is awesome!) I also got a new stereo for my room because mine broke, and three new dvds (two Veggietales and Ponyo). I was so excited that when we got home Momma opened everything and I played with the new reader while watching a Veggietales movie.
After shopping and a little nap, Momma and I went to Arctic Oasis, the community center. She let me play on the playground for about an hour then I was crabby for lunch and another nap. It was fun though, and I had the playground to myself for a short while.
Later, at night, Momma met up with Grandma, Grandpa and Kirby for a small birthday dinner at Red Robin. It wasn't anything big, just a simple dinner. Grandma and Grandpa brought a few presents for me to open. I also got a free ice cream and a whole bunch of people sang this really embarassing birthday song to me. Momma was laughing but I was a little embarassed.
On Saturday we were at Grandma's house all day. I didn't know it until later but Momma had a little family gathering for me. It was so much fun! Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Amanda, Uncle Shaggy, Eryn, Mrs. Wendy, Mr. Dave and Kirby were all there! I was a little confused at first, because I never see everyone in the same house, but it was great! Uncle Shaggy grilled up some really good brautwurst and we had a blast eating together and laughing. Later we opened a few presents and ate the cake. (Momma made the cake and it made me laugh. She made a crash scene with hot wheels. It wasn't the best looking cake but I loved it because my Momma made it. :) Not to mention it had toys on it!) Grandma said that I took forever to open the presents and at this rate we'd have to start opening Christmas gifts two days early. Aunt Amanda said that if I got to open them two days early then everyone else does too. :) I think she's funny, I like her. After everything was said and done I was really really tired but I had a blast.

Bouncin' Bears and the Alaska State Fair

I have been busy the past two weeks! I went to Bouncin' Bears last Saturday with Grandma and she had to duck tape my socks to my feet because they wouldn't stay. I couldn't help it, I was going to fast! Then, on Sunday I went to Bouncin' Bears for a birthday party. It was Trinity's second birthday. We got her a Snow White Barbi doll. She liked it. :) There were lots of kids my age, so I had a blast. They couldn't keep up with me, and all the adults thought I was cute with my curly hair and an energy bomb. :D
This past Saturday I went to the Alaska State Fair with Grandma and Grandpa. I got to feed all sorts of animals and even see a Llama! It was fun but man was I tired!!! Sunday I went with Momma, Kirby, Mrs. Wendy and Eryn. We saw all the animals again, and a giant pumpkin! I wouldn't keep my right sock and right shoe on, so about 20 people asked Momma and Kirby if they knew I didn't have my sock or shoe on. They said yes, they knew, and that I do it all the time. :) Even though it was raining both days at the fair, I still had a blast.
Aside from those big events, nothing crazy has happened. I fed the ducks with Grandpa, participated in a trike-a-thon, had to go with Momma to work for a few hours, saw Aunt Caitlyn's tattoo finished and keep stealing everyone's shoes. Momma says not to judge someone until you walk a mile in someone else's shoes, so I'm starting with Momma and Kirby's shoes. :D So far it's pretty fun and challenging trying to keep them on!

A Rough Day

So nothing super eventful happened this week, but I did have a pretty rough day today. I was pretty tired and just wasn't in a good mood. Momma and I went to do laundry at Mrs. Wendy's house and I just broke down. I ended up crying constantly and nothing really helped my mood. Eventually I calmed down and watched a new movie, "Tales of Despereaux" with Momma, and then when Eryn came home from school we watched "Hercules". After the laundry was done we headed home. I still wasn't in a good mood, but it was somewhat better. I ended up going to bed early. Momma said that I was having a typical toddler bad day. I'll take her word for it.

Nothing New

About the only thing that happened this week was that I went to the Alaska Zoo with Grandma. We saw lots of animals but my favorite two were the seals and llamas! Grandma bought me a llama toy, just like the one in my story books! I was so excited to show Momma. Aside from that, nothing new to report... I guess I'll have to drag Momma on more adventures this week so the next post is more interesting to read.

Atticus the Drummer

Aunt Caitlyn, Momma and I all went over to Kirby's house to play Rock Band last week. While they were playing I was upstairs watching movies with Eryn and Mrs. Wendy. Momma said that I kept trying to mess them up while they were playing but I was just trying to play myself. When it was lunch time Mrs. Wendy set up my high chair so I could watch them. Then, she gave me two spatulas and I got to drum along with Aunt Caitlyn!!!! After they were done playing their songs, Momma let me try out each instrument. Caitlyn and Kirby were especially happy to see that I liked the drums.. Momma wanted me to like the guitar. That's ok though, I'll play both when I'm older. :)
Today I went on a four mile walk with Caitlyn and Momma. We took the high way path all the way to the North Eagle River exit and then started walking back through town. About three miles into it, when we were half way through town Momma noticed that she had never strapped me into my stroller, I was just sitting in it! I thought it was really funny but Momma was stunned that I had actually sat that long in my stroller without climbing out of it. She said that she was a goof for forgetting to fasten me in, but she also said that I was a very, VERY good boy for not getting out of the stroller.

Planes, Ice Cream, Corn

This week has been a really fun one. I was at Kirby's house with Momma for dinner and Momma let me have my very own corn on the cob. Momma said that I ate it like a big boy. :) It sure was yummy!
The next day Grandpa called me and asked if he could come out and take Momma and I to ice cream. We went to Cold Stone and Grandma ordered an ice cream cone. It was my size!! I got an oreo vanilla ice cream. I also got to try what everyone else had.
Aunt Caitlyn is in town and she came and spent the night at our house last night. At first I did not realize who she was. After I hung out with her for awhile I realized who it was and started to show off because she hasn't seen me since I started walking. I think it is fun to show off but it stresses Momma out sometimes.
Caitlyn, Momma and I went to church today. I was especially energetic, as Momma put, and we ended up leaving before worship was done. I guess Momma didn't have the same amount of energy that I did.
We to the Arctic Thunder Air Show today. I got to see lots of air planes on the ground and even saw some in the air. They were really loud, and Momma tried to put some mufflers on my ears but I wanted to hear the noises. I liked the loud noises. We walked around for awhile and saw some interesting things, and even ran into Momma's old youth leader, Dayton. I also saw Mrs. Wendy. She gave me some Doritos. :) After that we had to leave to go home, I was really tired, so it was a good time to leave. All in all, this week has been fun. :)
