Nothing eventful happened this week. I was completely crabby all weekend though, getting into everything. When I woke up and Mommy came to get me I had gotten out of my pack n' play and wrote all over my arms with dry erase markers. (Momma wasn't too happy about that....)
Right now I'm baking gluten-free crowberry muffins for Grandma. I cannot wait for Momma to try the muffins we're making!

Christmas, Moving, New Years... An Insane Month

Ok... so where to start, WHERE TO START!!!!!!! This month has been the most crazy month I have ever experienced in my life so far! Mixed into this whole month was: a weekend with Grandma, moving, Christmas, a crazy ice storm, the day care being closed on multiple days, New Years Eve, fireworks, and so much more! Let's see where I can start!
Momma and I had to move out of our apartment by the first of the year so we are now back at Grandma's house. Momma had got a new job at her new job (like a step up or something like that) and so now she makes too much money to stay in our old apartment. We are only at Grandma's until the middle of February. Momma said that's when our new home opens up. I'm excited because I'll get a new room. Momma is excited because she'll have her own laundry machines. I think that's a silly thing to be excited about, but Momma said that I will understand when I'm older.
Momma started school again this month, so that means that I'll get to see what she is learning about. Right after she finished her orientation and before she started her first class she decided to go on a weekend snowboarding retreat to "relax and rejuvenate" before the big move and classes started. I was really excited because that meant that I'd get to spend the whole weekend with Grandma and Grandpa. We made cookies but then I got really sick and started throwing up while Momma was away. Grandma said that it was the stomach bug, but it was only a 24 hour bug. I wasn't sure what that meant but Momma says that it means the sick bug only lasts for one day. That makes sense, but why are there so many hours in a day? Why 24, why couldn't it have been 23 or 25? Anyway, I am getting distracted.
After Momma got back from snowboarding we had to kick it into overdrive and get that apartment packed. I was a big boy and helped Momma pack my own room. It was exciting! I was really fine with packing until Momma packed my cowboy boots....then I got upset. She ended up taking them back out of the box for me. We got the majority of things packed on Christmas Eve. We went over to Grandma and Grandpa's for Christmas Eve dinner and spent the night there. I got to open up two gifts early. One was a set of pjs from Grandma and Grandpa. Everyone got pjs. The other was from Uncle Shaggy and Aunt Amanda. They gave me a HUGE inflatable bouncy ring. I LOVED IT!!! I wished the dogs could have gone in with me but Grandpa said they'd pop it.
Christmas day came and there was so much going on! I got overwhelmed and it took me almost the whole day to open gifts. I also got to try monkey bread and was happy to find that it was not made with actual monkeys. I also got to eat puppy chow, but, once again, it was not actual puppy chow but chocolate, rice chexs and powdered sugar. I was really really tired but way to excited to sleep. I did not sleep until Momma was driving out to Kirby's house for Christmas Dinner. Momma and I stayed the night over there on Christmas and had a blast. We were dancing to the record player that Kirby got Momma. I really liked "American Pie". :) Momma then put me to bed so they could start their monopoly game. I wanted to play but Momma said I was too little and it was too late. :(
The day after Christmas I stayed at Kirby's house with Eryn while Momma, Kirby, Grandpa and Aunt Ali moved everything from our apartment to Grandma's house. It was an all-day event.
New Year's just happened and it was a blast! On New Year's Eve we spent the night at Kirby's house and got to shoot off fire works. Momma said that this was her first year being this close to fire works as well. She even let me hold a sparkler with her. THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN! Mr. Dave was shooting fire works out of his grill and they made pretty lights. I wanted to go down and try and touch them but Momma and Kirby said no. Oh well, there's always next year!
On New Year's Day we were eating dinner and they had this new food, sauerkraut. I don't know if I like it yet or not. I haven't made up my mind. Kirby cannot stand it and neither can Momma. After the sauerkraut there was pumpkin pie! I love pumpkin pie! :) Mr. Dave and I were taking really big bites, it was fun!
Momma and I are now back home and I am just taking a break from playing with Grandma and Grandpa. I'm glad things are somewhat back to normal, but I had so much fun this past weekend. :)

Thanksgiving Week
This past week was C-R-A-Z-Y!!!!!!!!!! I don't think I have ever felt a week be so long in my short little life! Let's start from the beginning, shall we?
Monday - Momma brought me to school as normal but it took us FOREVER to get there. There had been a real bad ice storm, so bad that Grandpa called Momma at 5:30 in the morning to tell her to be careful. Momma's neighbors were telling her to stay in if she didn't have to go anywhere. Unfortunately she had to go to work, I guess that's what adults do. We were driving about 5 mph through Eagle River to get to the highway. I figured we'd go faster on the highway like we always do but we did not. We were going 5 mph on the highway all the way up the really big scary hill. What normally takes Momma 5 minutes to drive took us almost 25 minutes! When we finally got to school I was thankful and could not wait to get inside. Then, when I was napping Momma came to the school and woke me up. I overheard her telling one of my teachers that the state employees had received early dismissal due to the weather so she was here to pick me up early. The drive home wasn't as bad but it was still pretty scary.
Tuesday - The day started out interesting before we were even up. 5:30 the director from the daycare calls and says that because the Anchorage School District has closed all the schools, the daycare is closed as well. Momma had to call into work and say that she couldn't find a babysitter on such short notice. I got to spend the whole day with Momma. It was fun but I think I was a little too energetic and there was no where for Momma to bring me to run out my energy. I did get a surprise and saw Kirby though. I didn't recognize him at first because he was in a fancy uniform and hat but when he knelt down and said "hi buddy" I knew it was him! He couldn't stay long but I always love seeing him come over.
Wednesday - The daycare was closed again but this time Momma had some fair warning. The daycare director had called her Tuesday night so she managed to ask Aunt Ali to babysit for me. I was still asleep when Momma made me wake up so I was crazy mad! I was screaming and throwing a fit all the way until Momma left Grandma's house. I finally settled down after watching a little Veggiestales. (Godly veggies can do that to you, did you know that?) That night, after Momma and I got home, Momma made some cream cheese brownies for Thanksgiving lunch at Grandma's house. I wanted some but Momma said no.
Thursday (Thanksgiving Day) - I woke up early with Momma, at like 5:30, and we started to prepare the potatoes to becomes mashed potatoes! Momma brought everything into the living room so I could help. I handed Momma the potatoes like a big boy. She even let me try peeling one but that didn't go to far. After Momma cut the potatoes into chunks (she wouldn't let me cut them :( No fun!) I helped her move them into this big pot called a dutch oven. Momma filled it with water and let the potatoes cook for what seemed like forever. At the same time she was also cooking some of her gluten-free biscuits to bring to Grandma's. After Momma dressed me I was SO HYPER that I decided to spin around for five whole minutes straight. Momma was laughing so hard! At about 10:00 Kirby came and we all headed to Grandma's house together in his suburban. Momma said that she felt more comfortable with his large suburban on the highway in this yucky weather than her little focus. When we got there Grandma was still cooking and Grandpa was watching football. I joined Grandpa. Later Aunt Amanda, Uncle Shaggy, Montana and a their new friend, Sam, came over for lunch as well. There were a lot of people and dogs in the house! Uncle Shaggy gave me some of the fudge that he made and it was so good!!!! Aunt Amanda, Grandma, and Momma freaked out at first because he was going to give me a really big piece, so Aunt Amanda gave me about 1/5th of what Uncle Shaggy was going to give me. They are such party poopers!!!Lunch was fun and I got to sit between Kirby and Grandma. I kept trying to take food from their plates but I didn't succeed. After lunch Grandma made my own little chocolate pie. There was whipped cream and sprinkles on it. Kirby, Momma and I left Grandma and Grandpa's house at around 2 and went over to Mr. Dave and Mrs. Wendy's house. First we had to drop Momma off at the apartment so she could get an overnight bag for us and get her car. (She had to work in the morning so she needed her car and work clothes.) I stayed in Kirby's suburban because I was sleeping on the drive back to Eagle River. When Momma got to Kirby's house I was already down for a nap and Wendy was making food. When I woke up the Thanksgiving dinner at Kirby's house was ready. It wasn't at big as the one at Grandma's but it was nice and calm, a good thing for a Thanksgiving supper. I also got a little slice of the chocolate pie that Kirby was eating. It was good!!!! After I finally ran out of energy from the chocolate pie at around 8:00 pm Momma and Kirby put me down for bed.
Friday - Momma was up and gone to work before I got up. She texted Kirby to see what we were doing at around 9 and I was still asleep! She was jokingly mad but that's ok. Kirby babysat me all day because the daycare was actually scheduled to be closed on Friday. We were going to go shopping for Momma's Christmas gift but Kirby ended up ordering it online instead. It is frustrating Momma not being able to figure out what it is. At noon I went back down for a three hour nap. When I woke up Momma was walking through the door. She was home early from work because she wasn't feeling too good. She ended up running a small fever. At 4:30 Kirby left to go to the play that he is working the light for. Momma and I were still over at Mrs. Wendy's house. Eryn wanted us to watch a movie so we did. Momma put me down for a nap but I ended up sleeping all night there, so Momma and I stayed a second night.
Saturday - When I woke up Momma came up and got me. She tried to give me cereal for breakfast but I decided that I didn't want to eat cereal that morning. Mr. Dave came down and he ended up making everyone scrambled eggs, sausage, and toast. It was yummy! Momma and I stayed at Kirby's house for awhile but then we had to leave because we had to be at Grandma's house to put up their Christmas tree. I was so excited! When we got there I knew instantly what to do. I ran over and grabbed a long string of red beads and handed them to Grandma and Aunt Ali. I also tried to put some ornaments on but some of them Grandma said that I couldn't touch. When we were all done the tree looked beautiful! Afterward, I helped Grandma make supper. We were using the left over mashed potatoes and making a cheesy mashed potato casserole. I was wearing the new apron and chef's hat that Grandma got me. It was so much fun! Everyone liked the supper.
Sunday - Momma and I went to Fred Meyer and got Kirby's Christmas present (along with some groceries and things Momma calls "Money Orders" that pay for rent and day care). We weren't in there too long, just the right amount of time. When we came home we decided to put up our own Christmas tree. Momma was playing this cartoon on the tv, "Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer" that she said was an awesome cartoon. I wasn't too into it but she said that when I'm older I'll love it. As Momma was putting branches on I was trying to put some on too. I wasn't that good at them so I eventually lost interest in them. When Momma finished putting all the branches on we fluffed the tree and Momma strung the lights on. Momma and I only have five ornaments to put on the tree, so it was easier. I got to help with all but one. (Momma has a special glass one that Grandma gave her that I'm not allowed to touch.) I think our tree looks pretty. :) After my nap we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's. Momma forgot that I didn't have any clean pants for school tomorrow so she had to do laundry. I got to play with everyone for a little bit so it works.
After this long week, I am very great full for a comfy bed. I need lots of sleep because I am actually going to school tomorrow. :) Have a great night! Sweet dreams!
